Having a Plan
It is very easy with life's hectic pace to overlook spending time in God’s Word. It seems that the urgent often crowds out the important! Yet it is in time spent in the Bible that we find the very answers and encouragement we need to successfully live out our lives in a stress-filled society. Having a Bible reading plan can help us stay on target, and more importantly gain heaven’s perspective on life!
Benefits
While there are numerous benefits that are received from spending regular time in God’s word a few of them are listed below:
- Find God's direction for our lives (Psalm 119:105)
- Receive hope from God's Word (Psalm 119:114)
- Discover real Truth (Psalm 119:160)
- Help keep us from sin (Psalm 119:11)
- Find refreshment and revival (Psalm 119:150)
Ease of use
By spending around 20 minutes each day in the Bible it is possible to read through the New Testament twice and the majority of the Old Testament once in a year’s time. This plan has been developed to help make the process enjoyable and maintainable. Portions of the Old Testament law and genealogies have been left out of the plan to keep most day’s reading schedule to three or four chapters!
